Our Team

Morgan Miller
This is a homecoming for Morgan. Her first job in high school was as a photographer here at Leo Weeks where she began to learn the craft under Ruth Ellen, Leo's daughter.
Morgan went on to study photography at Lamar University under world-renowned photographer Keith Carter, while earning her bachelor's degree in business. After graduating she spent time as a photojournalist for the Port Arthur News covering the games and community stories that Southeast Texas cared about.
She later earned a master's degree in Education Administration and spent six years as a teacher in Port Arthur and PNG. These years in the classroom taught her how to connect with people and make them feel comfortable in ways a photography class never could.
Morgan never lost her connection to this studio or the community that shaped her. Returning as the creative force behind Leo Weeks Photographers in 2019 wasn't so much a career change as it was coming back to where she was always headed.
Austin Miller
Austin is a PNG graduate and Southeast Texas native who came to photography from just about as far outside the industry as you can get.
Austin studied engineering at Lamar and spent years working in the petrochemical industry...not exactly prime photography training ground. When he and Morgan took over, his job was to handle the business and let Morgan handle the camera, but that lasted about 5 minutes.
Austin dove in head first by reading about 15 books on every aspect of photography in the first few months after they took over. Sports action photography became his specialty, and today you'll find him on the sidelines at games across Southeast Texas where more than a few kids have started calling him 'Mr. Leo Weeks' without ever knowing his real name. Not the path he planned, but he wouldn't change it.
Justin Deyoung
Justin brings over 20 years experience behind a camera to Leo Weeks Photographers. Most of his career was spent in television broadcast, covering everything from hurricanes and political events to concerts and major sporting events across local, national, and international stages. His work has earned multiple Texas Associated Press awards and Emmy nominations.
But his love of photography started long before the broadcast career. Justin credits his grandfather, who always seemed to have a camera nearby, with planting a seed that never stopped growing. He is a 2001 PNG graduate and NDN Press alum where he covered high-stakes moments as a student photographer, including the Indians' state championship runs in football and baseball in 1999 and 2000.
Away from the sidelines, Justin is an accomplished wildlife and waterfowl photographer whose work has been published in Ducks Unlimited, Wildfowl magazine, and numerous other publications.
When he's not behind a camera you'll find him traveling, cooking, duck hunting, or doing his best to spoil his nieces and nephews.
Emily Mire
Emily is a Southeast Texas native and PNG graduate who found her calling behind a camera before she ever left high school.
Her passion for photography took root in NDN Press where she quickly made her mark. Emily earned more photos of the week than any student in the program's history and went on to collect a remarkable list of accolades including UIL All State Photojournalist, Photographer of the Year, Photo of the Year, Editor of the Year, and three consecutive UIL Journalism State Championships.
Sports photography is where Emily feels most at home. The speed, the emotion, and the moments that exist for only a fraction of a second are what drew her in and kept her there. Her long-term goal is to shoot for the Houston Astros, which tells you how seriously she takes her craft.
Emily brings that same energy to every sideline and session she shoots, and she's always chasing the next great shot.
Her philosophy is simple: Capture Life.
